New Media Law Appointed As Advisors to Isle of Man Government
New Media Law is delighted to announce its appointment, as of 9 December 2008, to advise the Isle of Man Government on its new digital rights initiative.
The initiative involves a proposal to: “present the idea of licensing telco’s and ISP’s on the Island to enable their subscribers to access music which is available from a non charging site including P2P for non commercial use via fixed line broadband or their mobile devices for a blanket monthly fee.” Ian Penman will lead the New Media Law team, which will include Rick Riccobono (New Media Law’s International Rights Licensing Consultant) and John Haggis.
